Social and Cultural Development

The Department of Social and Cultural Development is responsible for directing activities related to NTI's obligations as the Designated Inuit Organization under Article 32 of the Nunavut Agreement. The department provides leadership and oversight of programs related to Inuit health, Inuktut education, elder care, justice, reconciliation, TB elimination, early childhood development, and pre-employment training, with the goal of achieving social and cultural equity among Inuit and other Canadians.
