Economic Advancement

The Department of Economic Advancement is responsible for defining a primary role for Inuit in the development of Nunavut's economy. The department captures and defines the challenges, barriers and opportunities impacting Inuit firms, creates opportunities to achieve Inuit economic prosperity, and fulfills Article 24 requirements under the Nunavut Agreement, including maintaining the Inuit Firm Registry and advancing infrastructure and housing priorities.
