Deadline:

Develop the brand for Igluvut Corporation (Igluvut), an Inuit-focused housing entity established by Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated (NTI) and the three Regional Inuit Associations (RIAs) in Nunavut.

The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals for consulting services to develop the brand for Igluvut Corporation (Igluvut), an Inuit-focused housing entity established by Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated (NTI) and the three Regional Inuit Associations (RIAs) in Nunavut. The brand development services will establish a clear and compelling identity for Igluvut, one that reflects Inuit priorities and effectively communicates Igluvut's role and purpose to NTI beneficiaries.

Proposals must demonstrate how the bidder will create a distinct and meaningful brand for Igluvut that resonates with Inuit and NTI beneficiaries. The proposed branding should also demonstrate thoughtful alignment with NTI’s existing corporate identity. The Igluvut branding should remain distinct and independently recognizable while clearly communicating its relationship with NTI.

  1. The successful bidder must describe how the proposed branding approach will build understanding of and support for the initiative among Inuit at both local and regional levels, including Elders, hunters and trappers, and other community members.
  2. Brand development should include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following activities:

Project Discovery and Research

  • Review existing NTI corporate brand guidelines, templates, and marketing and promotional materials
  • Review existing territorial marketing materials that showcase Nunavut and Indigenous leadership
  • Consult with the Infrastructure Technical Working Group (ITWG) Committee and the Igluvut Board to gather knowledge about Igluvut, its role, purpose, and messaging

Brand Identity

  • Define the verbal brand identity, including its essence, key messages, core values, and position within the NTI family, informed by the Angirratsaliulauqta.
  • Develop a visual brand identity, including logo, typography, colour palette, iconography, and brand guidelines. All assets should include formats for both print and digital channels
  • Develop other branded assets, including business cards, letterheads, templates (presentation, newsletters), marketing materials (e.g. social media posts, e-newsletter), imagery and illustrations
  • Align visual brand with ongoing website design work for Angirratsaliulauqta and Nunavut Inuit Sustainable Housing Index (NISHI).

Brand Implementation

  • Develop a communications strategy to launch the new brand
  • Develop a dedicated Igluvut Corporation website that is fully compatible with and capable of being integrated into the Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated (NTI) website. The website shall reflect the approved corporate brand and visual identity, provide a modern and accessible user experience, and be designed to support future growth. Project Schedule/Timeline

Following initial evaluation by NTI of all submitted proposals, proponents will be required to present their proposals to the Igluvut Inc (BOD) at a date and time that is agreeable to both parties. This may be completed in person, or virtually (e.g. Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.), depending on availability, costs, and preferences.

Following BOD presentations, proposal selection and award of the contract to the successful proponent is expected in a reasonable timeframe. The following recommended timelines should inform the bidders work plan:

  • Project startup/kickoff meeting (KOM) within one week of award of contract/project initiation.
  • Preparation of three brand concepts within eight (8) weeks of KOM.
  • Refinement of a recommended brand identity within 12 weeks of KOM

Proposals must be received by no later than 5:00 p.m. EST on November 6, 2026.
