NTI Election Voters’ List Deadline: October 23!

(October 8, 2020 – Iqaluit, Nunavut)  Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. (NTI) will hold an election for President on December 14, 2020. Inuit enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement have until October 23, 2020 to make sure they are on the Voters’ List. Here is how to check:

• Go to NTI’s website to make sure the spelling of your name is correct. If the information is inaccurate, contact your local Community Liaison Officer (CLO), or Bernadette Tutanuak by email: btutanuak@tunngavik.com
• Copies of the Voters’ List are posted in each community. Please check with your local CLO and let them know of any changes.
• If your name is not on the list and you are an Inuk from Nunavut, please contact your local CLO, or Bernadette Tutanuak by email: btutanuak@tunngavik.com, to find out how to get on the list.

NEW for 2020 – COVID Planning
In addition to the usual planning for weather conditions for the vote in December, NTI will also have contingency plans for COVID-19. NTI will follow the guidelines of Nunavut’s Chief Public Health Officer to ensure the safety of all candidates, staff and voters.
