NTI is Encouraging Inuit to Apply for the Inuktut Education Innovation Fund

(April 4, 2022, Iqaluit, Nunavut) Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. (NTI) announces a Call for Proposals for the newly established Inuktut Education Innovation Fund. The Inuktut Education Innovation Fund was created to provide and enhance opportunities for Inuit to advance Inuit Language and Culture education in Nunavut’s Education system.

Funding from the Inuktut Education Innovation Fund can be applied towards:

• research on innovative measures, education methods, curriculum development and best practices in the delivery of education in Inuit Language and Culture; and
• development of key resources, professional development opportunities and networks that provide for a system of supports to Inuit educators.

The Inuktut Education Innovation Fund is funded in part by the Federal Government Department of Canadian Heritage and is a part of NTI’s efforts as we take innovative measures for Inuktut education.
